Prelude Academy of the Arts is dedicated to providing quality education in the performing arts through private lessons, group workshops, and live performances. Prelude Academy is currently offering private music lessons and serves the community of historic Dade City, Florida.
Meet the Instructors
Paul Lewis
Paul Eddison Lewis holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of South Florida and has composed a variety of works ranging from electronic music to pieces for large ensemble. In 2014, Lewis' work The Ninth Gate was honored with the BMI student composer award. Lewis is an active performer, and currently conducts the USF Health Orchestra. Lewis teaches many aspiring musicians who have achieved honors and awards such as All State Honors, Superior ratings from Solo and Ensemble, District Winner in the National Piano Auditions, and first chair seating for All County Orchestra. Paul Lewis currently offers the following instruments for private instruction:

Charlotte Lewis
In addition to her passion for performance, Charlotte Lewis has a love of music education. Charlotte has had the honor of teaching stringed instruments through private lessons, classes, workshops, and summer camps for the last eight years. She has participated in school outreach programs, The Great American Teach-In, and 4H summer programs. Charlotte offers the following instruments for private instruction:

hold the violin/bow comfortably
navigate first position using tape as a guide
understand the difference between “up bow” and “down bow”
